En comparación con los blancos americanos, los hispanos van al cine 56% más a menudo
Latinos are an important segment for companies related to the moviemaking world. Once again, the Tr3s network has studied a recent report related to Hispanics moviegoing habits. It is estimated that this group buys one out of every four movie tickets in America. They not only represent one-fourth of box-office sales in the U.S., but are considered frequent moviegoers and real fans. Compared to white non-Hispanic Americans, Hispanics go to the movies 56 times more often. This is mostly the younger set, people less than 35 years old, who also tend to be totally up-to-date with all the latest films. One of the main reasons why Hispanics go to the movies is to later discuss and make comments on the flicks they have seen. Though the big screen is considered an entertainment option for the whole family and they go in big groups, it often provides an intimate setting for moments of romance. As for film categories, millennials prefer action and adventure films (almost 70 percent), followed by comedy (51 percent), drama (32 percent), horror (27 percent) and science fiction (24 percent). Hispanics are also more aware of the advertising screened before and during the movie.
